One of my all time favourite Dr. Seuss books. It’s a month old but is too good not to post.

What a fantastic idea . Leandro Erlich’s installation called Bâtiment and is on display at Le 104 in Paris. A gigantic mirror reflects a house which gives visitors the illusion that they can hang off ledges and if kids (or adults) want, they can even get their Spiderman crawl on. Watch a little clip here to see how it is done. Amazing.

Have you seen the new Spring 2012 Elie Saab collection? Much like last year it looks light air and almost fairy like. A romantic collection full of ivory and pastel hues of powder blue, rose and wheat. Do you think we’ll see any in a couple of weeks on the red carpet at the Oscars? I hope so. My vote is to see Rooney Mara wear one, it would completely have people talking at such a drastic change from her usual hard edge black choices.

This rendition of Chris Isaak’s Wicked Games by James Vincent McMarrow is ridiculously good it sends chills down my spine. You might remember in November when I first came across this Irish folk music singer-songwriter for his version of Higher Love. Is there any cover that he can’t do that?

A little Monday morning treat to help start off your work day. I came across this new video from Google showcasing their Google maps game, which they debuted last week at CES. The fun little game will actually let you play labyrinth in the Google map version of your city. As a kid I use to love playing labyrinth I had the wooden game with the two planes that moved by two knobs changing the direction of the marble, I’m telling you as simple as it sounds it was hours of fun and ridiculously hard to complete. Google has managed to tap into that nostalgia for me by reimagining the classic labyrinth game as a handcrafted, real life version of Google Maps.

With a team of passionate skiers Field Productions made a breathtakingly beautiful film, Being There. Set against a picturesque background of gorgeous mountains, it’s hard not to head for the slopes after watching. If you love either skiing or snow-covered peaks you will not be able to resist the trailers.

I love a good navy and yellow pairing so of course I have to comment on Taylor Swift’s outfit as seen out in the West Village in New York. Not only is the colour choice an A+ but the pairing of the textures of the ModCloth ‘On Your Way’ Skirt skirt and the classic Ralph Lauren sweater are brilliant.

Not that I could ever afford a Valentino in my lifetime but it’s always good to dream big. I have to award the first swoon of the year to Valentino’s Spring 2012 collection featured in its ads. These dresses are gorgeous!
